Bem-casados (happily married when translated), are two little sponge cakes
filled with dulce de leche (other fillings are also offered). They
are traditionally a must have in any wedding in Brazil. They are usually
individually wrapped in crepe paper and tied with a little bow, and are
offered at the end of the wedding reception as a favor to the guests. This sweet
little gift represents the couple together in their new sweet life.
These sweet little cakes are also great gifts for baby showers, baptisms,
birthday parties, and any other occasion you can think of.
